Paulo Vaz is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of São Paulo – USP. He has been recognized as one of the most admired lawyers by “Chambers Latin America,” acknowledged by “Best Lawyers,” and nominated by “Análise Advocacia.” He is a professor at Insper and the author of technical articles on tax matters.
With over 30 years of experience, he provides consultancy to both domestic and international clients regarding tax legislation at municipal, state, and federal levels, particularly concerning the tax implications of corporate reorganizations, taxation of foreign investments and Brazilian investments abroad, wealth planning, agribusiness taxation, and the tax treatment of various business scenarios. He is also recognized for his expertise in contentious matters, both administrative and judicial, assisting clients in defending against tax assessments and representing them in actions before the Judiciary.
